Volume #11: How to Plan for a Crisis (and Why Now Is the Perfect Time)

“There can't be a crisis next week - my schedule is already full.”

Let me guess why you probably don’t have a crisis plan in place for unexpected emergencies.
You are:
❌ Too busy to plan things that probably won’t happen
❌ Too cash-strapped to build up a solid emergency fund
❌ Too exhausted to even consider the worst case-scenario
❌ Too attached to Plan A (that’s your brain on bias, friends)
🫣 All of the above
These are all 100% valid reasons why crisis planning is not exactly your #1 priority. And if you’re in the “All of the above” category? I see you:
You are probably already in crisis mode.
It’s a vicious cycle: If you’re scraping the bottom of your savings account, you need to focus on day-to-day doings in order to pay your bills. This present-moment-tunnel-vision can contribute to a cycle of frantic doing, exhaustion, and a fixation on holding things together. Altogether, this crisis of resources can prevent you from seeing the way to safety.
Whatever the reason preventing you from preparing for unexpected, the good news is that it’s not too late - yes, even if you’re in the middle of your personal apocalypse right now).
Crisis planning can help you:
🏆 Maintain a steady sense of direction
🏆 Focus your mind proactively on what you can do
🏆 Accept the challenges you’re facing instead of avoiding them
🏆 Reduce anxiety, stress, and spiralling “what ifs”
🏆 Improve your decision-making under pressure
Whether we’re talking medical crisis, political upheaval, or aliens invading the planet, you can make a crisis plan to address it.
