Conscious Productivity #Goals: Re-affirm your top priorities on a daily basis.
Whatever you answered in the poll above, it’s pretty likely that you’re struggling with follow-through in one way or another.
If you answered…
1. ➡️ You’re too busy, stressed, or frazzled to even begin.
2. ➡️ You’ve tried prioritizing, but nothing “sticks.”
3. ➡️ You struggle to accept that doing one thing means not doing something else (this is definitely me).
4. ➡️ You prioritize people-pleasing over your actual priorities.
5. ➡️ You need others to hold you accountable for your own priorities.
Once you get over the hump of getting started, setting priorities isn’t that difficult. And there are TONS of methods to help you get clear on what to do next.
Earlier this month, we covered six ways to prioritize tasks using methods like “Eat the Frog!” and the time management matrix.
The tricky bit, though?
It’s the daily effort of staying present with your priorities.
Cultivating presence is tricky because there’s no single method for achieving it. Staying present with your priorities means acknowledging that everything you do—every day—has the potential to support or detract from your priorities.
This includes…
➡️ Your self-talk
➡️ How you experience and regulate your emotions
➡️ Your micro-decisions (and indecisions)
➡️ Your relationship with others
➡️ The quality of your attention
…and most of all; your commitment to coming back, again (and again…and again) to what matters.
So… any help in this area?
Well, being gentle with yourself as you come and go helps 🥰
And writing your own affirmations can help you reconnect with your priorities on a daily basis as your life unfolds. Affirmations are simple statements that you can use to manifest goals, dreams, or priorities—and writing your own will help you construct a narrative for your life that aligns with your priorities with practice.
